Ole Gunner has bring back the smiles at Old Traford

Ole Gunnar  Solskjaer has brought the smiles back to people's faces and knows exactly what the club is about, according to Luke Shaw.

The United full-back has started 10 of 11 Premier League games under Solskjaer with United putting together an unbeaten league run which has catapulted them back into top-four contention.

"The results are showing that with the right mood and mentality. The way the coaches and managers are putting their tactics out on the pitch are working perfectly right now. Of course, it could have been better if we beat Liverpool and against PSG, but there are lots of positives to take at the moment. It's on wards  and upwards at the moment - we're happy with how things are going. We need to keep doing that."

Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho in December, who Shaw had an edgy relationship with.
Shaw had previously struggled to earn a place in Mourinho's side at United, with the Portuguese manager on one occasion saying he was asking to be substituted because he was playing so badly.
The England full-back has seemingly responded well to Mourinho's tough love though and admits he couldn't be happier with how life is currently under Solskjaer

Both Arsenal and Tottenham target Eric Bailly on January

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is wanted by both Arsenal and Tottenham for a January transfer.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the Ivory Coast international, who has become disillusioned at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho as the Daily Star  reports.

Arsenal too are also keen on Bailly and now the pair are set to go head-to-head when the transfer window reopens.
Bailly cost United £30million when he joined from Villarreal in 2016, and they almost certainly won't ask for any less from their Premier League rivals.

Robert Pires rates Iwobi highly

Iwobi replaced Aaron Ramsey with 30 minutes remaining and it was his cross that forced Watford’s Craig Cathcart to
turn the ball into his own net for Arsenal’s opener. And the Nigerian’s performance caught the eye of Arsenal legend Pires, who believes Iwobi has a huge future ahead of him at the Emirates. ‘I know just one thing, I told him after the game he made the difference,’ Pires told Standard Sport. ‘He’s a great player, very fast

‘He finds good solutions on the field with his vision. He has good mentality and spirit. Of course, he’s young but he’s learning very quickly. ‘Arsenal with Alex Iwobi and Alex Iwobi with Arsenal have a good future.’ Iwobi, meanwhile, revealed after the 2-0 victory over Watford that Emery has told him to stop being ‘so critical’ about his own performances. ‘I’m more positive and more confident with the ball,’ the 22-year-old said
‘The boss has basically told me that if something doesn’t work, just keep going and don’t dwell on it. ‘He’s told me to stop being so critical and to just keep trying no matter what happens, no matter if things don’t go as I want them to. ‘That’s given me a lot more confidence to try a few more things, like beat a player, to shoot more. I’m always ready to get on the ball a bit more, so I guess it’s helped in that sense.

‘I’ve lost a bit of weight because of the intense training and I think it’s made me a bit sharper.’ The Gunners continue their Europa League campaign on Thursday evening with a trip to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag. They then return to the Premier League and make the short trip across London to Fulham on Sunday.

Valencia says that he support Mourinho

The Ecuador international has been forced into a hasty apology after a social media mishap landed him in hot water
Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has apologised for inadvertently 'liking' an Instagram post calling for manager Jose Mourinho to be sacked.
The Red Devils manager came under increasing pressure on Tuesday following a 0-0 draw with Spanish club Valencia at Old Trafford in the Champions League, prior to"I'm not even surprised about the outcome of this game," the user posted. "I always look forward to our games but recently Mourinho has made watching us a punishment now. Something needs to change. It's time for Mourinho to go."
Valencia was spotted as having 'liked' the post and was forced to post a hasty apology online.
Posting on Twitter, he said: "Yesterday, I liked a post on Instagram without reading the text that accompanied the picture. These are not my views and I apologise for this. I am fully supportive of the manager and my teammates. We are all giving our everything to improve the results." which club legend Paul Scholes had said that he was "embarrassing the club".
Fuel was poured on the fire by the 33-year-old, who liked an Instagram post criticising the manager after the draw
Yesterday, I liked a post on Instagram without reading the text that accompanied the picture. These are not my views and I apologise for this. I am fully supportive of the manager and my teammates. We are all giving our everything to improve the results.

"No, I have never had any problem with anyone, thank God," Valencia said. "The decision [about the captaincy] is for the coach to make, now we need to see the positives. We played an important game and got a point, now we have a game against Newcastle and we need to fight.
"What I can say from the inside is that the lads are calm, working every day with a good attitude. We haven't got good results and that's why rumours arise."
The Ecuador international right-back played his fifth match of the season for the Old Trafford side on Tuesday. He had missed the opening couple of fixtures of the season due to a calf strain, meaning Paul Pogba took the captain's armband, and was also rested for last weekend's surprise 3-1 defeat at West Ham.

Walcott still missed at Emirates

The 29-year-old might have grown stale at the Gunners, but how they long for someone with similar attributes to offer a 'Plan B' in Unai Emery's squad

Theo Walcott returns to Emirates Stadium on Sunday to face his former team. The 29-year-old joined Everton in January following 12 years in north London, where he won three FA Cups and scored 108 goals in 397 appearances, but the decision to leave was made easier by the fact that he struggled to maintain a regular spot in the Arsenal XI coupled with then manager Arsene Wenger’s decision to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Walcott has since revealed that he grew disenchanted with the game as his time at Arsenal came to an end, and for someone who has already contributed two goals and an assist to Marco Silva’s side this season, the England man will this weekend be looking to exact some revenge on his old club for letting him go.
“I'm not going to lie, I fell out of love with football for a little bit. Because I had some good performances, but then just didn't get the chance to play on,” Walcott said

“Scoring over 100 goals for Arsenal is a great achievement for me personally, and then just the last year-and-a-half was tough, I can't lie. It was really tough, not being able to get into the team, being in and out.
“I just felt I wanted to get the excitement of football again. I didn't feel like it was going to be at Arsenal then.
“[Former Everton boss] Sam Allardyce at the time got in contact, and I felt: ‘Yeah, this is the right move for me.’ I got the buzz and enjoyment back, and I couldn't be in a happier place to be honest, I'm playing football with a smile on my face. I just love football again.”

The Gunners have the look of a new side under head coach Unai Emery but there are still some areas of the pitch where additions are required - one of those being on the wing. Arsenal’s right hand side remains a problematic area, especially in the defensive areas where Manchester City, Chelsea and West Ham have exploited the weakness in recent games by scoring their respective goals after taking advantage of those flaws.
Hector Bellerin, in particular, has been exposed defensively because he rarely has a natural winger playing in front of him or tracking back. Henrikh Mkhitaryan seems the best suited to that position, although he drifts into his preferred inside-right role, and while Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey have both played there, they are traditional ‘No.10s’ and more successful playing through the middle

Admittedly, wingers have changed a lot since the likes of Marc Overmars was strutting his stuff down the flanks for Arsenal. The other top-six clubs generally have a main striker supported by an inside forward who is able to drift out wide or player in the centre. An example of this can be seen at Manchester City, who boast Sergio Aguero as the frontman and Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez as the wide forwards. Similarly, Tottenham have Harry Kane as their centre-forward while Son and Christian Eriksen are considered the wide forwards.
Walcott’s best qualities were his ability to run in behind and stretch defences. A player like Wilfried Zaha, who has already courted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham, could be the perfect addition to reduce the narrow system that the Gunners have restricted themselves to playing. Different game plans are crucial when you consider Arsenal are playing in four competitions and will need options on the bench to change things. Danny Welbeck has played on the wing, as has Aubameyang, with the only natural winger Reiss Nelson heading out on loan to Hoffenheim earlier this month
It’s evident that Premier League teams rarely play with two up front, and the reliance on width is now focused more on the full-backs. Arsenal are certainly missing someone like Walcott - a goalscoring wide attacker - but they need someone to help the defenders, too. Signing a winger won’t solve all of Arsenal’s issues but it will give them variety and increased options in a position where they don’t have any natural wide men

Kanes bumper contact causes teammate demands

There is growing drama in the Spurs dressing room as teammates seek improved contracts after star striker Harry Kan e was handed a bumper deal worth a massive £200,000 (A$358,000) a week.
Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose have reportedly all demanded new deals, according to The Sun, to match the England talisman’s percentage pay rise

Kane scored 30 goals in the league last season and was rewarded with a massive new deal to ward off potential suitors amid reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid.
Alderweireld, Eriksen and Rose allegedly want pay boosts of around 40 per cent, but traditionally frugal chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to match their demands
